Amongst all of the sports franchises out there, some stand head and shoulders above the rest. These franchises make some big money for their owners, due in large part to good records and outstanding fan bases.

New York Yankees: You hear the name and it just tells you that you’re dealing with winners. This is a great sports franchise because they make some major money for their owner and are fun to watch. They make major money not only because they are winners but because they are up there as some of the biggest celebrities in the game. They are making money and keeping the fans entertained, so you really can’t go wrong with this franchise.

Boston Red Sox: Another team that is known for being legends. This is what great sports franchises are made of and it shows in the money generated by them. The money comes in from the good game that they play, and more importantly by the fantastic fan base that supports them through thick and thin.

New York Mets: New York is just a big baseball town and it shows through in the profit generated by both teams. You tend to be either a Mets fan or a Yankees fan, and because of that both teams do quite well. You may not think of the Mets as being as profitable as the Yankees, but as compared to other teams, this one does just great.

Washington Redskins: Some may be surprised to see this team on the list, but they are in fact a very profitable team. Much of this has to do with the love of football that is found within this area of the country. The fan base keeps the money pouring in and therefore they keep them profitable through the good times and the bad.

Dallas Cowboys: This is one of those teams that people love to follow, and therefore the money just pours in. This is what football is all about, and they have a long history and following to go along with it. People will travel near and far to take in a game for this team, and therefore they are definitely amongst the most profitable out there.

New England Patriots: They are winners, plain and simple. Not only do they play an amazing game of football, but they have fans from all over. People are die hard for this team and therefore there is much profit to be gained through this sports franchise. The team is full of superstars and fans can’t wait to see how far they will take it each and every season.

Philadelphia Eagles: Another team that has good players, a solid record, and a great following of fans. So it’s really no surprise that they generate a good solid profit each and every season. They have been that way for years and show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Houston Texans: Perhaps more of a surprise on the list than others, but the fact remains that football is big in the south. This is a market that loves their football and the fans rally around this team through good parts of the season and bad. Therefore they will likely continue to be one of the most profitable out there for some time to come.

New York Knicks: You know you’re dealing with a great team with a great following when you readily see celebrities in the audience at games. This is one of those teams that has die hard fans, which happen to include a fair amount of celebrities. They play a good game and the money keeps flowing in as they do.

LA Lakers: Another team with a huge fan base, which also happens to include some big names. This team probably has more celebrities following along with their every game than any other team out there. Therefore the money pours in, the team does well, and it continues to be one of the most profitable teams out there.
There are some teams that can just command the money more than others. These teams are by far the most profitable out there that continue to bring in the money, no matter what.
